  Join us for a relaxed photo walk along the vibrant R Street Corridor in Sacramento — one of the city’s most popular urban art destinations. This area features an incredible concentration of murals, many created during the renowned Wide Open Walls festival.

  We’ll meet in front of Fox & Goose Public House at 10th & R Street, then enjoy a leisurely walk toward the Ice Blocks at 16th & R before heading back to our starting point. Afterward, join us for an optional wine tasting at Lucid Winery.

  Bring a model, a friend, or simply your camera — this is a fun opportunity to create images, explore murals, and socialize with fellow members.

  Chasing Flight: The Art and Thrill of Air2Air Photography Missions

  Presented by David McKay, PPA Master Photographer, Cr.

  David McKay from McKay Photography Tours returns with an all-new adventure: Air2Air Photography. Since his last talk at PPSV, David has combined his lifelong love of aviation with his passion for photography, launching himself, quite literally, into a new creative orbit. He’s ready to take you along for the ride, sharing the excitement, the lessons, and the unique perspective he’s gained from photographing aircraft in flight.

  What’s in Store:

  • Want to break into aviation photography? David will show you where to start and what you need to know.
  • This isn’t your average shoot—he’ll walk you through the specialized techniques that have made his work a hit with both pilots and aviation groups.
  • Safety comes first. Learn how to prepare for a mission, conduct a thorough flight briefing, and why there’s no room for error once you’re airborne.
  • Make your shots pop. David will share his quick-editing tips for creating images that grab attention and keep the focus where it matters.

  BIO

  David is a co-founder of McKay Photography Academy and McKay Photography Inc. He has been a professional photographer for over 30 years starting his first photography studio at the age of 17. Together with his wife Ally, and their team, they have led over 3000 people around the globe on photographic excursions. This includes over 70 countries and all 7 continents. 

  He has always had a love for aviation and started with flying gliders in 1997 and then also obtained his single engine pilots license in 2000.  After a 20 year "break" from flying, David has gotten back in the pilot's seat once again. It was only natural to combine his love for aviation and photography when the opportunity arose. 
  

  David has received some of the highest photographic awards in the world including the prestigious Master of Photography, Photographic Craftsmen degrees from Professional Photographers of America- the LEADING professional photography organization in the world. 

  Having taught on some of the largest stages in the industry, to thousands of people, both professional photographers, and amateurs alike, he has a passion for photography and teaching. He believes just being a great photographer does not make you a great teacher and that the ingredients of both emotion and skill must be shared and taught. David shares his love and enthusiasm wherever he goes and many of you can attest to this.

  After many years serving on the board for Professional Photographers of Idaho and also being the CEO of Save the Day Seasonings, Jen has heavily leaned on Canva for saving time creating marketing and printed designs. Jen also creates a weekly newsletter and a quarterly digital magazine.
