Image Competition - HOW TO ENTER AND PAY

To enter the PPSV Image Competitions:

  • Click on the EVENT PAGE link and find the Image Competition Event you would like to participate in.
  • We are now using Printcompetition.com for managing and paying for submissions so follow the instructions on the event page.

PPSV Image Competition is Moving

To better serve you, PPSV Image Competition is moving to printcompetition.com.

Printcompetition.com is an online management system for image judging and scoring.

Why PrintCompetition.Com?

  • This is the standard platform used by professional photography associations throughout the country
  • This new platform will allow Image Competition to be completed in shorter time
  • Image scores will be emailed or texted message directly to you
  • Audio Clips of judge’s commentary is available for your review*
  • Individual judges scores breakdown *
  • Pre-game app to scope out the competition *
  • Post-game app to research results *
  • Enter into other Print Competitions throughout the USA

* Included with Premium membership in the website

We encourage you to become a printcompetition.com member before our first Image Competition on March 15, 2023. Membership in the Print Competition website is not required to watch image competitions but it is required to enter image competitions.

Steps for Becoming a PrintCompetition.com member

  1. Create an Account at https://printcompetition.com/request
  2. Enter your email address and choose a password. Be sure to click on PPSV (Professional Photographers of the Sacramento Valley) and then click “register” at the bottom.
  3. Choose your membership level (Basic is $13/year or Premium is $17/quarterly) - Free Registered members can view only the competitions.
Steps for Entering the PPSV Image Competition:
  1.  Log-in to your Printcompetition.com account
  2. Choose the PPSV Logo (available once a competition is open for registration)
  3. Scroll down to the “Create New Image Entry” and click on the link
  4. Enter the Image Title
  5. Select the Image Category
  6. Click on the “Create New Entry” link
  7. Scroll down to the “Entries for the Upcoming Event” section and upload your image(s)
  8. Once uploaded, click on the “Pay Image Fees” link (located in the red bar above the “Create New Image Entry” link) and pay according to the number of entries uploaded. Any entries not paid for prior to the competition night will be removed from the competition. Note: once paid, fees may not be refunded.
