About PPSV

Professional Photographers of the Sacramento Valley is a fun non-profit organization for photographers in the Sacramento Valley and beyond. We foster a fun and welcoming environment for serious photographers. Topics, speakers, and locations of our monthly meetings can be found in the Events Calendar. Our mission is “To promote the highest standards of artistic, technical, and business excellence.  To provide professional photographers the opportunity to grow through inspiration, education, fellowship, and mentoring.”

PPSV...

      • offers workshops and other education to help members improve their photography skills and sustain a profitable business
      • hosts formal (PPA-style) image competitions to provide constructive, educational feedback to improve our members' craft as image makers
      • offers social gatherings for photographers to network and build friendships
      • Certified Professional Photographer study group – For those looking to become a certified professional photographer, we’ll be hosting study groups to help you get ready for the exam. 

We're the local affiliate for the Professional Photographers of America, and Professional Photographers of California. PPA and PPC members can gain even more by also being members of PPSV.
