Photography, Travel, Friendship, and Adventure - The World Awaits Your Lens
From the far reaches of the Antarctic to the Great Eagle Hunters of Mongolia, and so many places in between, photography tour leaders and PPA Master Photographers David and Ally McKay share their passion and experience with traveling, photographing, and leading educational photographic tours to some of the most epic locations on the planet.
The McKay’s are passionate about what they do, and, in this program, they will share with you their stories and techniques for capturing great images that include landscape, wildlife, and indigenous cultures around the world. Take a journey of inspiration and education to discover why Travel, Friendship, and Adventure are key ingredients and how to incorporate this into your photography.
This will be a 3-part program. Included will be many practical tips and tricks for not only your photography but also for traveling! Here is just some of what will be covered.
Part 1 - Why you and why NOW is the time to travel?

BIO
After 30 years as a portrait and wedding photography specialist, David and Ally McKay started McKay Photography Academy in 2011 with their first photography tour held in 2012. Having traveled throughout the world as well as having taught on some of the largest stages in the travel industry, the McKay’s not only have a passion for photography and travel but for people. David and Ally have taught over 12,000 people and led hundreds of people on photography tours to all 7 continents sharing photographic education and the world with photographers of all levels and abilities.
David and Ally have each received some of the highest photographic awards in the world including the prestigious Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsmen degrees from Professional Photographers of America. In 2024, David was one of a select few chosen as a part of Team USA in the Photographic World Cup.
Currently, David and Ally also have images in the “Mongolia Captured” exhibition that opened at the Embassy of Mongolia to the United States to a packed house. The exhibition will be travelling throughout the US with stops at the UN in New York, the consulates of both Chicago and San Francisco, and several other gallery showings.
